We have an exciting opportunity for a Consulting Sales Engineer to join our team in Norcross, GA.


The Consulting Sales Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions. They will also be responsible for remote and onsite service and support needs for our customers.  The Sales Engineer will need to accurately document the performed work in a timely manner.


  • Assist with technical pre-sales consulting
  • Assist in developing statements of work
  • Assist in Network design
  • Assembling bill of materials
  • Attend business appointments with Sales Representatives
  • Assist in Product Demonstrations
  • Assist in Estimating Labor Hours for Professional Service work
  • Drive growth of hardware business

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of hands-on Cisco experience working in a Pre-Sales capacity or similar role
  • Core area of expertise desired around Cisco Data Center solutions in UCS, Nexus or MDS or Cisco IP Telephony (CallManager, Unity, MeetingPlace, BE6KS)
  • Other area of expertise in some of the following; TelePresense, Security (ASA, Cisco Security Agent, NAC, VPN’s, Meraki) and/or Wireless experience (Aironet, Airespace, IPICS, Outdoor Mesh, and Meraki) are also beneficial
  • 1 year Product demonstration experience
  • Position often consists of a blend of 50% Pre-Sales and 50% Post-sales or Quality Assurance work
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Desired Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Similar experience with a Cisco Partner
  • CCIE highly desired
  • Relationships with local Cisco resources
  • Knowledge and strong working relationship with at least one of Tiverity’s strategic partners: Cisco, VMware, EMC
  • Cisco or EMC sales certification preferred
